Kimberley Boyd, MVP Chair for North & North East Lincolnshire

I am a mum of two girls (aged 12 and 17) and after my own personal experiences were not the most positive, this has always been a drive in my own business which I have ran for the last 10 year’s supporting women & their families before, during and after the birth of a baby.

I have been involved with the MNVP as a volunteer for a few years now,  since becoming a Doula in 2018 I have been keen to be involved with helping women & birthing people & their families  in the area have their voices heard and to provide a non judgemental and open space where they can do that. I am also passionate about informed choice and improving information shared to service users to help improve user experience and improve outcomes. So when the chair position came up it was abit of a no brainer to go for it and be more involved / step it up a gear!

Interests:

All areas interest me, I eat sleep and breathe all things pregnancy, birth, postnatal and parenting. I’m particularly pro informed choice & evidence based information sharing to enable parents to make decisions that are right for them. Supporting breastfeeding and maternal mental health are also areas I am keen on.

What would you like to achieve as MVP Chair?

I want to raise the profile of the MNVP in our area & create a solid service user representative group. I would also like to ensure we reach all groups of users, including those who are underrepresented or unheard, inclusively is a key aim of mine.

Where can you find us?
