About North and North East Lincolnshire MNVP

The Maternity and Neonatal Voice Partnership is local parents working together with people who provide and fund maternity and neonatal care to develop services for people having a baby in North & North East Lincolnshire. If you live in Lincolnshire and have accessed care in Grimsby or Scunthorpe you are very welcome to share your experiences with us too. You could also feedback to Lincolnshire Maternity Voices Partnership.

Meet Your MNVP Lead

I am a mum of two girls (aged 12 and 17) and after my own personal experiences were not the most positive, this has always been a drive in my own business which I have run for the last 10 years, supporting women and their families before, during and after the birth of a baby.

I have been involved with the MNVP as a volunteer for a few years now.  Since becoming a Doula in 2018, I have been keen to be involved with helping women and birthing people and their families in the area to have their voices heard and to provide a non-judgemental and open space where they can do that. I am also passionate about informed choice and improving information shared to service users to help improve user experience and improve outcomes. So when the Lead position came up it was a bit of a no-brainer to go for it and be more involved and step it up a gear!

Kimberley Boyd, MNVP Lead for North and North East Lincolnshire

All areas interest me, I eat sleep and breathe all things pregnancy, birth, postnatal and parenting. I’m particularly pro informed choice and evidence based information sharing to enable parents to make decisions that are right for them. Supporting breastfeeding and maternal mental health are also areas I am keen on.

What would you like to achieve as MNVP Lead?

I want to raise the profile of the MNVP in our area and create a solid service user representative group. I would also like to ensure we reach all groups of users, including those who are under represented or unheard, inclusively is a key aim of mine.

Where can you find us?

Next Meeting: Friday, 10 May 2024, at 10.00-11.30 am
